NExt-gen X Systems Group

NExt-gen X (where X=networked/distributed/AI/ML/...) Systems (pronounced "nexus") group is a research group in the School of Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Research Areas

We are interested broadly in the systems and networking space, with a current focus on systems that span the cloud, the network, and the edge in enabling and democratizing AI.

Graph Neural Networks

GNNs have enabled breakthroughs in many important domains including recommendation systems and drug discovery. Our research focuses on scaling graph neural networks training and inference.

Dynamic Neural Networks

We are investigating whether injecting dynamism can help us build more efficient DNN systems.

Multimodal Models

State-of-the-art autoregressive models are able to understand more than text, here we are exploring techniques to build efficient systems that can scale up multimodal model serving.

Agentic Systems

Our research in this space looks at the reliability and efficiency of agentic workflows.
